GREGG E. CHAPLIN
President and CEO
Gregg received his BA from Texas A&M University in 1983. He was employed by Mckesson Chemical in 1983-1984 and Mooney Chemicals in 1985-1987. He founded G.E. Chaplin in 1988. In 2001 Gregg purchased QCR-USA, Inc., a global import company specializing in metal inorganic chemicals imported from Asia.
Janis recently joined G.E. Chaplin’s team coming from 13 years experience in logistics and warehousing at Brook Warehouse in Finderne, NJ. She was responsible for coordinating the receiving and shipping of pharmaceutical and chemical raw materials to major companies throughout America and internationally.
Brian received his BS in Chemical Engineering with a MBA in Finance and has been selling chemicals since 1978. He has worked for G.E. Chaplin since 1995. Prior to GE Chaplin he worked for Occidental Petroleum, Textile Chemical, Crane Chempump, and Inland Leidy. He visits Haiti yearly with a non profit company working with orphanages.SHANE CHAPLIN
Shane Chaplin joined GE Chaplin in January 2016. Shane graduated from University of Charleston in 2013 with a double major in Finance and Business Administration. Shane was a Territory Manager with Textron, Jacobsen in Northern California following his graduation.
Christine has been with G.E. Chaplin, Inc since July of 2000. She has had operations experience as an operations assistant and military intelligence officer in the United States Army for nine years prior. Christine handles all domestic and global operations.
Business Manager -Plastics
Dean graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1984 with a BS in Industrial Engineering. He joined G.E. Chaplin in April of 2012 after serving 14 years with ITC-Formosa as a business manager within the Formosa PVC and Polypropylene Resin divisions. His career in PVC resin began in 1988 with Borden Chemicals & Plastics where he spent 10 years in sales and sales management positions. Dean is located in the Philadelphia, PA area and travels throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Scott Zickel joined G.E. Chaplin after a thirteen years with OMG; a leading organic and inorganic specialty chemical company focused on the catalyst, hard metal, chemical, inks, paint and coatings markets. Scott is an Air Force Veteran and Graduate of Southern Illinois University. Scott handles the Organic and Inorganic products lines and is responsible for managing the Dynamic Polymers division. He is located in the Cleveland, OH area and travels throughout the U.S. and Canada.MELVIN HILL
Melvin Hill has joined GE Chaplin to help expand and manage its growing rare earth business. Melvin, the former manager of Aminco Resources rare earth desk, and before that, the EMEA Department Manager at Asian Metal’s London Office, brings both commercial and analytical expertise to GE Chaplin. At GE Chaplin Melvin will assume the title of Business Manager – Rare Earths.SEAN KENNEDY
Sean Kennedy studied at the University of Akron with majors in Organic Chemistry and Biology. He joined G.E. Chaplin in 2016 after extensive experience in the banking and finance industry. His background in organic chemistry coupled with his analytical work in finance has allowed him to transition well as an analyst supporting G.E. Chaplin’s metal and specialty chemicals business. He is located in the Medina, OH office and works closely with the NJ headquarters.
